Presidents Report

No report was received.

Secretary Report                                                                                                by David Pursley

Background on recent changes to the Executive committee was given – the resignations received from Ken Buckley, Margherita Antonelli and John Dybal, were received by email on 20th April 2025. This left only one Committee member – David Pursley

Ken Buckley was recognised for his significant contribution to the VRRA, especially as President and his efforts to bridge the various community factions. The meeting acknowledged his commitment to maintaining the VRRA despite the lack of office holders to fulfill the roles of the committee.

Bob Pullinger was thanked for his considerable history with the VRRA, and the numerous roles he fulfilled, especially monitoring the DPOPs and advocating for Vincentia.

Margherita Antonelli and John Dybal were also thanked for their contribution to the VRRA during their tenure.

Treasury Report – Annual Financial Statement

No official updated report was received, but a current bank statement confirms a balance of $3405 as of 30 April 2025.  This includes $10 from one new member recently received.  Enquires will be made to the bank to determine the way forward with this account.

Vincentia Golf Club Update                                                                                   by John Dybal

A comprehensive report was presented on the status of the process of de amalgamation from SGB Country Club, the parties involved, and the EOI by the new entity Jervis Bay Community Sports Club was discussed at length.

Banksia Street Sale by Shoalhaven City Council Update                                by Stan Bevanda

SCC is awaiting a final report from Endeavour Energy, and Shoalhaven Water on the costs associated for relocating essential utilities sewage and power, and storm water before making a final decision on the sale of the land. There are a large number of issues to be addressed and resolved before this land can be sold and questions remain about the value and potential income that may be generated for SCC.

Strong objections have been lodged to the Council about this sale by the VRRA and a number of local residents.  Clr. Lou Casmiri put up a motion to halt the sale of the land at the last Council meeting, but it was not supported by other councilors.

General Business

No general business was raised.  The Meeting was closed at 6.50pm and followed immediately by the Annual General Meeting.
