The SGBCC General Meeting on the 3rd of August, 2025 saw the five resolutions all defeated with almost unanimous NO votes from the more than 800 members in attendance.
This is an important result for two reasons.
Firstly, it means the land associated with the Vincentia Golf Club remains core, so there can be no sell-off or development without members’ approval.
Secondly, it means that our communities can move on from the upset and angst caused last year by the closure of the VGC course and clubhouse and the antagonistic SGBCC director elections.
The JBCSC would like to thank the over 800 Country Club members who turned up and voted, as this was also a strong message of support for de-amalgamation. A full copy of the announcement is available at https://www.jbcsc.com.au/post/3-august-gm-result-launch-of-de-amalgamation-roadmap
To help Country Club members and the broader community understand the de-amalgamation process, the JBCSC Board has published a new webpage that is dedicated to De-amalgamation. This details a step-by-step roadmap where our de-amalgamation progress can be tracked.
We encourage our followers and supporters to keep an eye on our De-amalgamation page and we will continue to publish updates as we progress.
